Valerie June is having a moment. Yesterday, her song “Call Me A Fool,” featuring Stax legend Carla Thomas was nominated for Best American Roots Song at the upcoming 64th GRAMMY Awards, the first nomination of the celebrated singer-songwriter’s career. “Call Me A Fool” is the lead track from June’s highly acclaimed LP, The Moon and Stars: Prescriptions For Dreamers, (Fantasy) released in March of this year.
