After breaking through with Pushin’ Against A Stone, this First Look Friday alum doubles down on her dopeness with her highly anticipated effort, The Order of Time, which is available today via Concord Records.

Rich with texture, blended with the jambalaya-esque sounds of African rhythms, ethereal atmospherics and southern roots — The Order of Time is a sound reflection by Valerie June about her journeys in love, lost and the passing of time. The Order of Time has already gained provocative reviews from The Guardian, Rolling Stone, NPR and, of course, us here at Okayplayer.
